Current Openings:
Dog Walker
Location: Various locations in Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Kendall, Cutler Bay, South Miami, and Coral Gables.
Position: Part-time (with potential for full-time)
About the Role:
As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing safe, enjoyable, and enriching walks for dogs, whether their humans are away or at home. You’ll get to know each dog’s unique personality and ensure they get the exercise and attention they need to stay healthy and happy. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals who love spending time outdoors and with dogs!
Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs on scheduled routes while ensuring their safety and well-being
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or discomfort during walks
- Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medication, and bathroom breaks
- Track and report on each dog’s behavior and any concerns to the pet owners
- Develop rapport with both dogs and their families to create a positive experience
Qualifications:
- Passion for animals, especially dogs
- Previous experience working with dogs (ideal but not required)
- Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude
- Ability to walk multiple dogs at once (depending on the service)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Own reliable, fully insured transportation

Dog Trainer
Location: In-home (various locations)
Position: Part-time
About the Role:
As a Dog Trainer at Dances With Dogs, you will work directly with dogs and their owners to address anything from basic manners to behavioral challenges and help strengthen the bond between pets and their families. You’ll work in clients’ homes, creating a safe and positive environment to teach basic cues, proper socialization, leash manners, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one training sessions with dogs of all ages, sizes, and behaviors
- Use force-free, positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
- Develop customized training plans for each dog and their owner
- Provide ongoing support to clients through progress reports and feedback
- Educate pet owners on how to maintain the behaviors learned during training
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in your care
Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized dog training program (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience working with dogs, preferably in a training setting
- Passion for animals and helping them thrive
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Reliable, fully insured transportation to travel to client homes
