  • Absolutely! We want you to feel comfortable with who will be caring for your pets, so you will meet your pet care provider during the initial consultation.

  • Yes! Through our scheduling software you can send messages to your sitter and they can send messages and photos to you.

  • Yes. All sitters and walkers have passed an in-depth background check.

  • Yes. During our initial meet and greet we will provide you a list clients for you to call.

  • To ensure the safety of your pet(s) we require a minimum of one visit per day for cats and two visits per day for dogs. We will happily visit your pets more often.

  • We will endeavor to keep as close to your pet’s regular schedule as possible whether we are providing midday dog walks or vacation pet care. We will discuss your requirements during our initial consultation and work to accommodate your needs.

  • At Dances with Dogs we are careful not to overbook to ensure all the pets in our care get the personalized attention they ought to have. Therefore, once we are booked we are not able to take on other clients. Our cancellation policy is as follows: Daily midday dog walking clients must cancel with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, vacation pet sitting clients must cancel with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, overnight pet sitting clients must cancel with a minimum of 14 days’ notice and vacation pet sitting clients whose service includes a national holiday must cancel with 14 days’ notice. Any cancellations not made within these guidelines will be charged 100% of the agreed upon contract.

  • Yes! That is what Dances with Dogs is all about, providing the personalized care your pets deserve. Just let your pet sitter/dog walker know what special care you might need during our initial consultation.

  • Please make sure you have enough supplies for your pet for the duration of your trip plus extra in case you are delayed returning home. This means providing your pet sitter with enough food for your pets, medication for your pets if required, paper towels, cat litter, etc. Please keep in mind, there is a $25 per trip fee plus the cost of goods if your sitter needs to replenish any supplies. Please make sure all litter boxes are cleaned prior to your departure. Please leave leashes, food, litter etc. in plain view for your sitter. Please leave your sitter a note to indicate any changes to feeding, walking or your contact information.
